Dr. Joseph Hugunin is a chiropractic physician and functional medicine expert with years of clinical experience and advanced training in hormone replacement therapy through the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). With a background as an Active Release Techniques (ART) provider since 2001, he brings extensive experience in hands-on, movement-based treatment and modern functional wellness strategies.
Throughout his career, Dr. Hugunin has worked extensively with professional and collegiate athletes—serving as a team physician for SportKC, the University of Kansas (basketball, track, women’s soccer, and baseball), and as a UFC team doctor in Las Vegas. His experience also includes supporting Olympic athletes preparing for the Rio Games, dance unions, and Ironman competitors, emphasizing performance optimization and recovery through functional care.
Dr. Hugunin earned his Doctor of Chiropractic and Bachelor of Science in Biology, following undergraduate studies in Finance at Rockhurst University. Beyond his clinical work, he is the proud father of three daughters who mean the world to him. In his free time, he enjoys visiting the ocean and the mountains, where movement and balance take on a different kind of meaning.
